CSW Parallel Event

The rollback against gender justice is a coordinated well-funded effort that enables anti-rights actors to exert their influence and advance regressive agendas. Anti-rights actors wield significant budgets with little transparency or accountability, in stark contrast to the persistent under-resourcing of  feminist movements.  

This event will unpack how the global financial system facilitates illicit financial flows and will discuss the gendered impacts of the billions “lost” through this system. It will highlight research that shows how some of these funds end up in the hands of anti-rights actors with disastrous consequences for the rights of women and gender diverse people.
